League of Extraordinary Teens
Teens across Tennessee help support the Imagination Library program for children.

The League of Extraordinary Teens is a unique and hands-on statewide initiative seeking to engage Tennesseans ages 13 to 19 in the financial and logistical support of the Tennessee counties currently offering Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a program that provides a new, age-appropriate, hardcover book each month to children from birth to age five at no cost to the family.

League membership requires teens to personally register a minimum of 10 children and raise a minimum of $135 to cover the cost of those children for their county's Imagination Library for one year.

Extraordinary teens from across the state will receive a certificate of appreciation signed by Governor Bredesen, will be recognized on the Governor's Books from Birth Foundation website and be listed in the quarterly newsletter, Signpost. (PDF)
